Mario Lizondo was born in Guadalajara (Spain) on 11th of May, 1981. After finishing his secondary studies, he decides to study AV at Madrid’s CEV school (Superior School of Image and Sound), specializing in Cinematographic Direction and Production. He collaborates in many projects until he ends his degree with the direction of his first fiction shortfilm: God Bless You.
He begins to work in Sogecable as an Image Technician and an AV Technician for the TV channels Canal + and Cuatro. For four intense years he combines that job with the direction of music videos, series and shortfilms. Among them, it’s important to stand out La Serie Online, nationally broadcasted by Antena 3 Neox, and Looking for a home, selected in several international festivals including Alcine, nominated to Best Remake award in the IX edition of Notodofilmfest, and second prize-winner in the III Shortfilm Contest by Radio Nacional de España, which includes having the film aired on TVE.
Currently he is working for AV production companies such as Monito Films, Sombra Audiovisuales and Mapa de Tramas, in addition to his joint working at Cardín & Lizondo as a director, editor, D.O.P and screenwriter of several TV and cinema projects.
